heard many many holocaust jokes. Dark sure, but some are very funny
Can someone please tell me where the rendition of 'Blue on Blue' is from?
This movie was infamous for years. I was at Jerry Lewis' ex-wife's house and got to ask her about it and she was convinced that if it had been finished and come out at the time, Jerry would have won best actor/director for his work. She said she still had a script in a safe somewhere. Gary Lewis was also still living with his mother and had the longbox from "Gary Lewis & the Playboys Greatest Hits" CD tacked on his bedroom door. It was a strange afternoon.
So it's not going to be released... Of course 🇮🇱🥳 (((They)))'ve made an strong effort to be the good guy in our days, even though they killed like thousands upon thousands of KIDS... And everybody has to do whatever they order through their media... Ahhhh...
i've been waiting for this film for over a decade. BTW sabbatti Tzevi would love to see it.
I’m fascinated by the triangle on his character clown … visionary
Seems that Lewis predicted the dark times we are passing through. I can't wait the movie to be released ASAP.
Last night I asked conservator at the US library of Congress mount pony campus about the film. He told me that he had actually restored Lewis’ entire catalogue and had worked on the reels of the day the clown cried that are in possession of the library of Congress has. He said that while the movie is a fantastic piece of cinema lore, the actual film itself is an absolute mess, practically garbage. I’m sure that it is, but it was pretty cool to talk to somebody who had actually seen the film. It’s a real legend.
I think Lewis had great ambitions to make a poignant impactful and he could just tell that it was a swing and a miss.
Alexis ❤ Rather Sexy 💋 Woman🎉
Fun fact: Before RoS, there was no mention of a Saracen being part of the gang. Ever since, every adaptation and movie has featured a Saracen, so influential was the series.
There are so many well known Swedish actors in this - for that reason alon, being a Swede, I long to see this film
Well, maybe we'll get to see it next year...
“Still coping” closed on an off non stop with the “smart” motorway upgrade and now again for another 2-4 years!!
Listening again... :) Love you! Amazing piece of work.
I really don't understand what the fuss is about. What could "go wrong?" How does one make a movie "wrong." The Death of Stalin was a black comedy based on the death of history's greatest monster-- Stalin. No one said it could have "gone wrong." Also, Schindlers list was essentially fictional. It was very loosely inspired by just a few events. The source material was a novel.
The M3 smart motorway 🛣️ never happened.
😂ha ha I live near there in Gosport. I love our local M27 motorway. ❤
Dork the Clown. Oh Jerry.
I know it is different, look at the Mel Brookes film, the Producers, that was released in a sensitive time period, perhaps Jerry felt, it could bring a lot of heat and hate his way, but 2025 is fast approaching, so a potential release, could be less than 12 months away, based on the date of me typing this post...
He tried to walk a high tightrope, without a safety net....a greased rope. I don't know how anyone can make this work, but I'm curious.
Another thing I noticed... why are all the prisoners so plump? Especially Jerry. They all look very well fed. They don't look like any emaciated German camp prisoners I'm used to seeing.
Funny how the movie made it to completion and that controversy occurred ONLY afterwards. Surely it was known what Jerry was up to. Why wasn't the production of that movie stopped before even any actors were hired? Would have saved time, money and trouble averted. Something weird about this whole Jerry Lewis thing. Something I think Jerry concocted for some strange reason.
I NEED to see this
Monty Python did it quite successfully.🎭
Lets all laugh at a clown leading children like lambs to their slaughter. .Theres nothing funny or poignant in that. The clown character is a self centered coward because hes choosing to be cruel to children to save his own ass
I've heard of this movie for decades. I'm old, l hope we don't have much longer to wait.😊
nope, can got to Smithsonian and see the uncompleted film
Whats that song in the beginning
22:58. I knew someone who had that phone.
THIS YEAR!
BOYCOTT THIS MOVIE - LIBERALS SUPPRESSED IT IN THE 70's - NOW THE ARE PROMOTING IT TO SUPPORT THE HAMMAS INVASION OF ISRAEL - IT IS TOTALLHY RACIST - NEVER AGAIN
No one is doing that you liar. Stop trying to defend the Israeli terror state
I was privileged to work here 2001-2002 during the end of its refurb, and its was a year i'll never forget.
Jerry Lewis was loved in France for being an Auteur.
NASIR ;) BADDEST SWORDMAN EVER HE LET ROBIN LIVE ;) MOST EPIC FIGHT EVER RECORDED ;)
Mark Ryan said more in that interview than Nasir did in 3 seasons, bet he was thrilled about doing an audio drama 😂😂😂
Did no one see “it’s a beautiful life”?
Captain James Seaton of the 11th Hussars did a very un-Christian thing when he seduced another man's wife
It's very simple why the film wasn't released. The producers' rights to the novel on which the film was based had lapsed before filming began. Thus, rights needed to be renegotiated. The novel's author wasn't happy with changes Lewis and others had made to the previously approved screenplay, nor did she approve of the rough edit of the film. So she didn't renegotiate, killing the film. This was all known at the time this documentary was made, so why they instead posit that it was ultimately Lewis' decision is disingenuous.
Did someone put backwards reverb on the entire video? It's distracting.
I’m from Sri Lanka. I’m a fanatic of the Robin Hood series. Still I’m watching it through Utube. Thanks a lot for all makers including all actors and actresses of Robin Hood. It took my childhood to another level. And I’m still loving to lady Marian which is Judy Trott in my heart. Nobody knows it.
Reminds me of Janusz Korczak, who also went willingly to the gas chamber with orphans who were in his care.
House M.D. anyone?
Let us remember, that Nazi Germany also killed romas, gypsies, and any other human with different color or belief.
Leave the Soul Music to the Soul Performers. It just looks Goofy otherwise
Really very interesting. Great to hear all the stories about The Bear. My 4th Grt Grandfather worked there I believe in the 1790s before he was caught and sent back to gaol in Oxford
